Welcome to my website! My name is Lauren Brown, aka L. Boogie. I’m a 23- year old painter, exploring Black culture and beauty through my art. My work is deeply rooted in the motto, “Be the artist and the muse,” which means to use oneself as a main source of inspiration when creating. Disappointed by the lack of representation I felt in creative spaces, I decided to create digital and traditional art using my own experiences as a central theme.
My mission is to produce art that makes people feel. FEEL included. FEEL seen. FEEL empowered. As a Black woman, I reflect my identity in my paintings, hoping to inspire others who also see themselves in my work. Through my journey, I aspire to encourage people of color to join the art space and explore their creativity.
